Hi
my mother is visitor in Canada, after the death of my father I sponsored her to visit my place and we planned to go back home in next 6 months.
some how we are not able to go back and I did not purchased travel insurance for her due to my personal problems.
last month she got massive heart attack and was hospitalized.
ow she is back at home and recovering. I am not able to pay full hospital bill I tried for settlement but that is also not working out.
can some one suggest me how to make settlement in hospital bills or suggest else.

We are sorry to hear that you and your family have experienced this situation.
Some hospitals work out payment plans so that bills can be paid over time, allowing the patient to contribute what they can on a monthly basis.
You mentioned that you have tried to work out a settlement with the hospital but it is not working.
One option is trying to call a non-profit credit counselling service to see if you can make an appointment with them to see if they can help you work out what your options are in this situation and if they can negotiate on your behalf.
You can find the nearest non-profit credit counselling service on the Credit Counselling of Canada website.
