Hi everyone

We landed in Pearson Int'l Airport last April 24th, 2015 in order to confirm our Permanent Residents documents and also to start the PR Cards processing, as it is automatically processed once you land.

However, we had to leave after 2 days to come back and settle work related matters and to dispose personal properties left in our current country of residence here in Bermuda.

Prior to our initial trip in April 24th, we already booked flight for July 27th, 2015 (roughly 3 months from the date of our landing) for a travel that will transit through Canada but final destination is Philippines. Unfortunately we still have not received our PR cards to the Canadian address we provided when we landed. We are hoping to receive our PR cards before we leave (there is still less than 3 weeks before our flight date), but my concern is if we don't get the PR cards on time, we'll we be allowed to still travel with only the Confirmation of Landing documents in our hands?

Any advice on similar situation is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Dennis

Unfortunately the Confirmation of Landing is not enough to allow travel by airplane. You need to either have PR cards or Travel Documents to transit through Canada. The airline won't let you board the plane without one of these documents. Note that Travel Documents are only good for one entry into Canada.
