Hi,
i just became PR in May 2015 i Landed in Canada with my Family, and after 21 days, i have to return back due to my job in india, i have not received the PR card yet.
But my wife and child are there in Canada, only i have to come back for my job.
Want to know, that when going back, i need to apply for a travel document, what is the approval chances of the travel document.
As i am new PR, so the residency obligation of out of 5 years does not apply me yet, Please advice me what will be best chances, I plan to go back in next 3 months, i will applying in chandigarh, nearest center

Now I have resigned from my JOB and my Last working day is September 8th.
Now I had to apply for Travel Document, But I am confused that should i apply my Travel Document after 8th September or I can do it now itself, because there is a Part on the TD Document that you have to fill your current Jobs,
So as Current Job is still going on, so can i file that TD now or later, also i have heard that TD takes around 1 month to get from the Embassy itself
Please Guide, if you have suggestions

Regarding your first statement,

Since you have landed as PR already, the residency obligation applies to you. As a permanent resident, you may travel outside Canada after you arrive. However, you must meet certain residency obligations to maintain your status as a permanent resident.
To meet these residency obligations, you must be physically present in Canada for at least 730 days (2 years) in every 5-year period.
This means that you can spend a total of up to 3 years outside of Canada during a 5-year period. However, if you leave the country for an extended period of time, it is up to you to prove to Citizenship and Immigration Canada that you will be able to meet your residency requirements.

Some of our users have stated that they have had friends or family who are residing at the Canadian address that they provided, forward their PR Cards on to them via a safe/secure method. Some have had it sent via courier or sent with a travelling family member.
However, it is important to note that if you are outside Canada and you would like your friend or family member to send it or bring it to you, it is important that you are aware of the risks of it being misplaced or possibly seized.
As you mentioned, since you are outside Canada and need to return, you may need to apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) from a Canadian visa office abroad. It is also important to note that there is also the risk your application for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) application be denied.
It is important that you contact the visa office where you are to find out their own Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) application processing times so that you can figure out when to apply.

Hi,
Thanks for the Great Answer. I have few other Queries related to above same Question I asked:
1. My Last Date in my Company is 8th September 2015, Can i Apply the TD right now, or i need to wait till i get some kind of relieving letter from company, Experience Letter is Probably given Later after 45 days.
2. If I can apply right now, What kind of Letter can i get from my Company so as i can show in the attached Documents, I have the Landing Document with me on which date i Landed.
3. There is a Column which says on Humanitarian Grounds, Well My Wife is my 3 year Old Daughter is already there, Both are dependent upon me as my Wife is Orthopadically handicapped by her Left arm so cannot do heavy Lifting Work.
4. and there is a column in the Document where i need to mention my details with regards to the company details, now if i apply now, the date is yet to come so i can i add 8th September there or i need to write from this date to present till now.
Hopefully my Questions make sense, Thanks
