I am a Canadian citizen. I lost these IDs all within a span of some months and while applying for a job that requires a backcheck realized I need them ASAP. What can I do? I have checked everywhere online and brought in documents to Service Ontario for an Ontario Photo ID but they won't take anything I have. What amI supposed to do? I mean what do people do if all their things get burnt in a fire??

Hello Sianne,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us. We are sorry to hear about this situation.

We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this.

You may need to contact each individual organization to find out how and if it is possible for you to replace each document.

You can find some information in the Service Canada - Lost Wallet section.

In terms of replacing your lost or stolen SIN, you can find some information in the
Service Canada - How do I replace my lost or stolen confirmation of SIN letter or SIN card? section.

In terms of the lost passport, you can find some information on the Replace Your Passport page.

We know that it is difficult because some of them request the other documents in order to process the new IDs. It may be best to speak to each organization individually to find out if there are any options or alternatives based on your situation.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
