How can I get an Ontario Driver's Licence?

Hello
For the past year and a half I've been living in Quebec.
I'm planning to go back to Toronto where I used to live in August, 2016.
While in Quebec, I obtained learner's license (Permit d'apprenti) but before August, I won't be able to complete and do my test in order to obtain a full driver's license.
So, I'm planning to do that when I get back to Toronto this fall.
How can I go about converting my learner's license without having to starting from scratch?

According to the ServiceOntario website in the Exchange an out-of-province driver's licence section,
You cannot exchange:
[...]
-a learner’s permit or novice-class driver’s licence from another province, state or country
In this type of situation, it may be best to contact the DriveTest at their Toll Free Number 1-800-489-8450 to speak to a Customer Service Agent to find out what your options are in this situation.
