Thank God for existence of this forum.
I am national of Pakistan.
My husband sponsored me in 2011. By May 2011 we got a letter saying that our application has been sent to Islamabad office and at that time processing time was of 26 months. After few months my husband came to live with me as we couldn't handle the distance for more than 2 years.
My police certificate was the last thing they asked for in 2012. I have not received any response since then and I have a 2 month old baby now.
My questions are as follows:
1) Does my husband's stay outside Canada effects our application?
2) Processing time is 31months now, will this be applied on our application too?
3) How do I inform of new addition to our family?

I have emailed office in Islamabad but they don't reply.

Please reply asap as we are desperate to move to Canada. We are currently living in Saudi Arabia.

Thank you

Aisha

Thank you for your reply Anna.

We followed all the information you provided and emailed CPC according to the given contact information by them.

We have far passed our processing time and there has been no reply from CIC. We have been waiting impatiently now.

Is there any application form we can submit to inquire about delay in the process?

Thank you!

Best Regards,
Aisha

Hello Aisha,

Thank you for sharing your situation and questions with us.

Regarding your question,

1) Does my husband's stay outside Canada effects our application?

According to the CIC Website in the Guide 3900 - Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child living outside Canada section,

If you are a Canadian citizen, you may sponsor a spouse, a common-law partner or conjugal partner, or a dependent child who has no children of his or her own. However, you must demonstrate that you will live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident.

Note: Permanent residents residing abroad may not sponsor from outside of Canada. Canadian citizens travelling as tourists are not considered to be residing abroad.

Regarding your second question,

2) Processing time is 31months now, will this be applied on our application too?

You can find information on the applications they are currently processing and timelines on the CIC Website in the Processing Times: Family Sponsorship section.

Regarding your third question,

3) How do I inform of new addition to our family?

You can find some information on the CIC Website in the Guide 3900 - Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child living outside Canada section,

Informing CIC of any changes

Consult the table below to know how to inform us of any changes following the submission of your application:

If there are any changes to your family status such as:

-marriage;
-divorce;
-births;
-deaths; or
-any other important information.

Inform us immediately by email at:
[email protected]

Note: Clearly state your name, date of birth and Universal Client Identification (UCI) or file number which is found at the top of the acknowledgment letter, if you received one from CPC-M.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
