Citizenship Application: Employment Dates

Hi,
I submitted my application earlier this month and have been thinking about this:
For my CURRENT job, I have been with the company since 2010. I have also been doing my Master's part-time since September 2013 (so also CURRENT). For both of these, I only filled out the "FROM" date but not the "TO" date. In the past, I've always filled out "present" for the "TO" date (I looked over my past PR and PR Card applications) but this time I did not. Silly me! For my previous job within the relevant four-year period (an internship), I did fill out both the "FROM" and "TO" dates.
Just wondering: 1) if my application will be returned because the "TO" date was not filled out on the application form for my present employment/education, and 2) how long CIC usually takes to return applications?
Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this.
According to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre, it is possible that they return your application. According to them, it is difficult to provide a definitive response because they may consider it to be "present" or they may consider it as though it was something that was forgotten.
In terms of how long it will take to return an application, CIC is currently opening applications received on April 29,2014.
The According to the representatives at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre suggested that you contact them in the next 6 weeks if you have not heard anything so that they can check to see if anything has been updated in the system.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
