Can a PR be Deported for a DUI?

If a PR was charged and convicted of a Driving While Intoxicated a few years ago, can they leave the country, say go to the USA for a few days?
Would they be permitted back into Canada, or is is possible she would be deported?
The person is a citizen of the United Kingdom and a permanent resident of Canada.

You won't have issues returning to Canada. However if the DUI is relatively recently (within the last few years), it's entirely possible you're inadmissible to the US.
