Hello Moderator,

I have recently re-united with my ex-spouse.

Earlier her visa and my two daughters visas were automatically cancelled as she never landed in Canada.

Now if I apply for her immigration I need to know about the following issues:

1. Will this sponsorship considered as a new case?

2. Do I need to update my status in my citizenship application?

3. Shall I wait the process to complete or apply for my spouse and children immigration right away?

4. How my bankruptcy would effect all the above (my citizenship and new application of my spouse' and my children's immigration?

Thanks,

AM

1. As long as your spouse was medically examined as part of your application, you can submit a new application to sponsor her.
2. No - you don't need to update your citizenship application.
3. You can apply right away.
4. If you are bankrupt, then you can apply for citizenship but you cannot sponsor your spouse and children for immigration. In order to sponsor your spouse and children, you must wait until the bankruptcy has been discharged.
