A citizenship application requires 2 photos taken within the last 6 months.

Does that mean the date on the back of the picture should be within 6 months of when the application was signed and postmarked or when it is received by the CIC?

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your question with us.

This is a very interesting question.

It may be best to contact the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Call Centre directly for to confirm whether or not there are specific requirements regarding when the photos were signed versus when the application was postmarked.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
