Rental House in Forclosure - Being Kicked Out

Our landlord walked away from our house and bank looks like is going to be taking over
its been three months with no word from anyone
we have no idea what's going on
then last week received a call from a real estate agent telling us bank wants us out by wend of July
they now want all three months rent back plus kicking us out ....
Can they demand the rent when they never made any contact with us not a phone call, e mail, or letter just some lady who showed up to see who was living her I asked how do I pay rent she said don't know.
What do we do?
We live in a duplex so the other sides going threw same thing.
