Issue with Optometrist and Glasses Purchase

Hello, can you, please, guide me regarding the problem I have with the optometrist shop .
I came there to order the lenses for my eye glasses with the old frame.
I was told that my frame was old style and I was offered to take 1 eye glasses with the new style frame and the 2dget for free.
I placed the order and paid $300 as a deposit.
Within 6 days I was called that my order was ready.
I arrived to the shop, tried the eye glasses, the right lens hurt my eye as if it was a knife into my eye.
The optometrist told that they will be redone. The second visit was not successful. The lens was not done appropriately. The third time they redo the lens was the worst.
The shop owner sent me to see the doctor who wrote the prescription and demanded me to pay for the balance in order to take the eye glasses with me to the eye doctor.
I felt they just wanted to get the money and get rid of me with my problems.
Please help me to resolve the situation.
I am not employed right now and the $300 deposit is essential for me to pay for the lenses I need which I am going to order in other eye store.
