Hello everyone,

This must've been answered before, for the life of me, I couldn't find clear answers, forgive me.

1) What are the supporting documents required with the application for Canada citizenship?

2) In addition to the document checklist (CIT0007E-2), do I include suggested list and/or every possible related/relevant document with the application or do I wait until I'm asked to provide them by the CIC/IRCC, if any?

Would truly appreciate your input.

Thanks,

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this.

The information we have received previously from several IRCC representatives is that in terms of what is specifically requested in the application forms, you should send what you can and as much as you can. If you do not have something that is requested, you should include a letter stating why you cannot provide it.

Regarding supporting documents, the document checklist refers to supporting documents in the "If this applies to you:" section, specifically for the Residence outside Canada form (CIT 0177).

It is best that you contact the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Call Centre directly for some information specific to your situation.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
