I read this on an Immigration Lawyer or Consultant website:

"Just because someone living in Canada has a Permanent Resident Card does not mean that he or she gets to stay indefinitely without renewing the card. "

What does that mean? If my PR card expires, I can no longer live indefinitely in Canada. Will I lose status? Is this true?

I have no response for clarification.

1. Doesn't make sense the statement from the lawyer/consultant. If you have PR status and no intention to travel, there is no requirement to have a valid PR card to remain in Canada.
