Hi,

Our PR card expires by end Jan 2018.

We lived here for about 3 years. In the PR card application we can give consent to collect travel history info from CBSA.

In addition I find that, dates are still needed for filling up work and education history for ( in and out of Canada question ) and Address history question in the last 5 years including date and month and year.

I applied to CBSA for travel history which may come in about 30 days.

Do I have to wait until I get travel history info to fill up work and education history and address history or what is your advice pls ?

In the last 5 years many times we traveled out of Canada for to our Native country.

Pl. advise.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

According to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) website in the Travel History Report section

If you are renewing or applying for a Permanent Resident Card you do not need to request your Traveller History Report from the CBSA. Checking "Yes" on page 3, section E of the application form allows CIC to collect the report on your behalf.

You have mentioned that in the five year period you have traveled many times outside Canada.

It is important to make sure that you have accounted for every day in the five year period for your travel history. Basically, you have to mention each time you were outside Canada overnight. Day trips outside Canada, where you return the same day, do not count.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
