Hi,

I landed on the 11th of September 2017 and have not yet received my PR card.

I called CIC multiple times to inform them about it, the finally raised a query with the Nova Scotia office on Nov 15th and said I should get back to them by feb 15th if I don't hear from CIC.

I didn't so I called them again today, and they say I have to wait until march 15th now.
Should I be worried ? It's more than 5 months. They won't give me any reasons for why there has been a delay.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this situation and wondering about the whereabouts of your PR card.

We can also imagine how frustrating it must be to not receive any reasons for the delay from the the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Call Centre .

Unfortunately, all we can suggest is that you try to continue to contact them periodically to see if they can provide you with an update an some information regarding the whereabouts or next steps.

We hope that others who may have experienced something similar can share their situation and suggestions with you.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

We can appreciate that you interested in the status of your first PR card.

You can find some detailed information regarding processing times on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website in the Processing Times section.

It states that it is currently taking 58 days to process initial PR cards.

If the stated processing time passes, you may want to contact the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Call Centre .

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Hi Josh,
I hope that you're not in the same situation as me. I had been waiting for long too and just figured out yesterday that my photos weren't
eligible. The IRCC sent an annoucement to my representative's email but he missed it. So, it has been over a month and my card is cancelled now. I have to reapply. Hopefully, this information is helpful for you. Goodluck!

Hi,

I would like to check the status of mine and my spouse PR card( Initial). We landed in Canada on 26th December,2017 and had to return back to our home country due to some personal reason.

We received our son`s PR card but haven't received our card since 1 year.

I contacted the IRCC number several times but was told they cant help me as I am outside Canada and requested me to fill the IRCC Webform, after contacting l them several times I just keep getting the same reply that everything has been resolved but unfortunately I have not got my PR or any proper response.

Now we have faxed the solemn declaration https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5451e.pdf but haven't heard anything as yet.

Is there any way I can get an update? Waiting for a response.

Thank you

Regards,

Reema
