Hello,

I did my landing back in May 2015 and didn't bring my savings back then from my home country, so the question here can I bring it now without paying tax for that?

what proof needed that it was earned before becoming a PR? is the financial report issued during my immigration process acceptable as a proof?

P.S: I did my 2015 & 2016 tax return as zero income as I didn't work here without including my previous savings.

for 2017 I was not residing in Canada so planning to do it as a non-resident

This site may be able to help you figure out what you need to do. There are a few people in that thread with similar situations and various links that should lead you to helpful resources. I particularly found the bit about how vague residence status can be in these situations to be something worth looking into.
