Hi,
I would appreciate if you could advise me here on my below question :

Currently I am living in the U.S accompanying my spouse who is a Canadian Citizen.

My PR card got expired in Jan, 2018. My question is, can I file for my PR card renewal (Yes, I fulfill the residency obligation) from outside Canada?

let's say I can, now if I am asked to pick up my PR card (in case they don't mail it to our family address in Canada) do I need to file for PRTD card prior to PR renewal application, in order to enter Canada to get my PR card ?

because if I wait to file PRTD later, then I may miss the PR card pick up window (usually 2 weeks), as PRTD processing can take a month or so.

OR can I just enter in to Canada in my private vehicle using my expired PR card along with Landing papers and Nexus card/US visa that I have.

Thanks for all your help and advise in advance !
