Contacting MP Office for Delayed PR Applications

Hello All,
My PR application (Express Entry) and has exceeded the standard processing time of 06 months. I have read somewhere that there is an option for a Canadian Citizen to contact the local MP office, fill up some forms and request an action on such applications on my behalf. Could someone please enlighten on the process?
