I'd been up since 3am, having had to work overtime on Saturday, Aug 25, and was finally home and asleep around noon, when I heard my apartment door open. I assumed it was my mother, as she's the only one with a spare key. When I stepped into my living room, there was my landlord, with a surprised look on his face. He stuttered something about a water leak below my apartment. I was still half asleep, but took him into the hallway were he said the leak was downstairs. There was no indication of water anywhere. He then walked into my living room, and started taking pictures...several of them, in all different directions, then stammered something about not knowing where the water was coming from, and made a quick exit.
He recently sent me, by email, an N5 Notice of Termination form, unsigned, with the following two items:
LOUD NOISE COMPLAINT FOR OTHER TENANTS. NOISE FROM INSIDE OF APARTMENT UNIT FLOORS REVERBING FROM VIDEO GAME NOISE. NOISE CONTINUED UNTIL 4:00 AM. THIS IS A ONGOING EVENT WITH LOUD NOISE FROM TV OR GAMES CONSOLE. POLICE WERE CALLED.
I go to bed around 8 or 9pm, and get up for work at 4am, so I'm sleeping all night, even on weekends. This was stated to have happened on Fri, Aug 3, 2018, and simply wasn't true. I don't play video games at all, rarely listen to music, and if there's any noise whatsoever, it would be from my tv, and during the day. If the police were called, and I seriously doubt they were, I have to think I'd hear them knocking on my door in the middle of the night.
He also posted this:

THIS IS NOT A ONE TIME EVENT AND MUST STOP. THIS BUILDING IS A NON-SMOKING BUILDING. TENANT CONTINUES TO SMOKE IN UNIT WHERE SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED.
SMOKE IS LINGERING THRUOUT THE BUILDING AND CAUSING POOR INDOOR AIR QUALITY
AND UNDUE HEALTH RISKS FOR OTHER TENANTS OF BUILDING.

Ummmm, I'm not a smoker. I was, several years ago, as the other tenants know, but it's been around 6 years since I've smoked, and I'm the only one that lives here.
What it boils down to is, I'm not sure what my landlord is up to. Currently, I'm not at all worried about being evicted, the allegations are false, but I am very concerned that he will just let himself in at any time with another made up reason, if I even find out about it at all. I'm seriously thinking about picking up a security camera for this reason alone.
Any advice?
