I became PR in 2016.

Did soft landing in Ontario but did not apply for SIN or PR card.

Now I am planning to move to Canada but for SIN application it requires either PR card or CoPR which is less than a year old.

I don't have PR card and my CoPR is more than a year old.

I have valid Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD).

Can I use PRTD as valid primary document for SIN number application.

Hello,
As a permanent resident of Canada, I believe that you need a PR card to apply for SIN.
A valid PRTD is not accepted by Service Cnada in order to get a SIN.
If you did not get a PR card after your arrival(Basically you do not have to apply for it to receive it) then you have to apply for your initial one.
You will have to wait for a couple of months before you receive it.
Thank you.
