Im getting married with my partner who is permanent resident this month and our lawyer will submit the application for immigration after we get marriage certificates.

I'm desperately hope that i can be enagaed in a free esl calss and improve my english ability to get used to our new life.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your question with us, I highly suggest that you reach out and dial 211 on a phone for free and speak to an information and referral specialist for a referral to free or low cost ESL services in your area as a visitor to Ontario. Different schools have different eligibility criteria, it is possible that you will find one that serves people in your situation for free. 211 is a free, confidential service that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may be able to find some helpful information in our Settlement.Org article here, Where can I take ESL classes?

We hope this information is helpful. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,

Your Settlement.Org team

Many countries offer free or subsidized ESL classes for eligible residents. In the US, for example, you can find information about local programs through the Office of Refugee Resettlement or the Department of Education's English Language Acquisition Grants website.

Once you find a program you're interested in, check their eligibility requirements. This typically includes information about residency status, income level, and any placement tests required.

Many public schools and community colleges offer free or low-cost ESL classes for adults. You can usually find information about these programs on the school district or college website, or by calling their adult education department.
