I have just applied Canadian citizenship for my son (1 year old). I have sent his US passport along with the Canadian citizenship application. However, I need his US passport back so that he can travel out of US next week.

I am an 18 year old PR card holder. I landed in canada the august of 2013, and for my summer vacation, I wanted to go to Cuba.

However I've heard from others that travelling to Cuba can cause some problems for me in the future (when applying for passport etc.).

I was wondering if there is any validity to this statement or not. Thank you

I am a former PR.

I was refused PRTD because of residency obligation.

MY husband is Canadian citizen, living and working in Canada.

He is sponsoring me. We have applied already.

Can the PRTD refusal because of residency obligation affect my case?

My wife has oath ceremony next month. I submitted application earlier then my wife and the children are included in my application. Is it possible if my children can be included in the oath ceremony with my wife?

I need some clarification if possible. I'm a sponsor who has just been approved and the application is now on the way to the embassy. I have a severe form of heart disease and was an ODSP recipient for almost a decade. I went off ODSP to take advantage of an educational opportunity, where I was forced to give up my pension. I recently re-applied and was denied. I'm a mother of a two year old and desperately need an income. I have been surviving in the Child tax benefit and was expecting ODSP to kick in. So now I am forced to seek out OW but I'm not sure what will happen to my application. According to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations I should be able to apply once my husband is here, while he's looking for work. Here is the quote. Does anyone know anything about this?
133. (1) A sponsorship application shall only be approved by an officer if, on the day on which the application was filed and from that day until the day a decision is made with respect to the application, there is evidence that the sponsor
(k) is not in receipt of social assistance for a reason other than disability.

It looks to me like I can apply for OW once my application is approved on the embassy end. As in there is no regulation stopping me from seeking OW after that time.

Hello,

I am yesterday refugee claimant and today Canada PR holder “permanent resident”.
I have entered Canada 11 months ago through the borders USA/Canada.

My application for refugee claimant was accepted by the judge and two days ago "last Friday" I have received my PR. I need to apply for my goods to follow.
I have prepared goods to follow Form B4A and wanted to submit while I am receiving my PR but the officer informed me I have to submit this form to another office!! I don't know where to submit the goods to follow form!

Recently I have been granted Permanent residence visa under FSW program and passport have been stamped with PR visa.

As my currnet passport was been issued with limited validity(upto Oct 2014) So i extended the passport validity after getting PR visa stamped and landing papper issued. Now I got the same passport with a stamp of extended validty on it .

Now I relised that the valdity of passport written on the landing paper is not same as current extended valdity, as landing paper was issued before getting passport valdity extended.

Is this matter of concen when I will first time enter into canada in Aug 2014 for migration.

I received my and my husbands PR card on 4th July,2014 but did not receive my 2 year Old Sons Card yet nor have recived any letter from them about any discrepeancy ,

As I am out of Canada at the moment, I do not have any way to even contact them, can you please help.

i am a pr since June 2011

my family and I first landed in june 25, 2011
and stay for 21st days in toronto, leave toronto and go back to my country in july 17, 2011.

Now I come back to Toronto at July 13, 2014 (just landed) and plan to stay till my PR card expired in Sept 2016.

Can you help me to calculate my Residency Requirements? So I can know that if i renew my PR card in 2016 have no problem.

ASSENTED TO

Does this mean the Act is enacted and has come into force?

Depends when the Act is enacted. If it is enacted after you apply no problem, if before you apply, you must meet the criteria of the new Act.
