Hello,
I got a letter from CIC with a new date. This message is to everyone who has the same problem as mine. Send them the letter with your reason as to why you were late. If the reason is good then you'll definitely get a chance. What I meant to say is that your honesty will be rewarded. Sooner you send the letter, sooner you get a response.

Thank-you for sharing your situation and question with us.
According to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)'s website, if you are unable to attend your scheduled citizenship ceremony,
Contact the citizenship office immediately. You will be rescheduled for another ceremony as soon as possible.
If you do not come to the ceremony and do not contact the citizenship office within 60 days, your application will be considered abandoned and your file will be closed.

I actually did call them and they said I have to send the office a letter explaining why I didn't show. My question is how to write an official letter to the government, never had to write one, so not sure what to write and how? is there any samples of letters? |
