Proof of exit date from Canada

How do I prove date of exit from Canada 35 years ago? All residecy records of my life in Ontario have been purged. Exit was to USA so no record of multiple back and forth border crossing by land. I am a dual Canadian/US citizen. I have lived and worked in the USA since 1987. I've tried everything but no one keeps records older than 7 to 10 years.
Please help.
