Topic: Looking for Senior Housing or Affordable Rent

My friend is 68 years old
He is on a pension that is insufficient for him to afford a living and housing
He has a bad back and is not capable to work if the job has any amount of physical work load, and is not able to stand for long periods of time
He needs to find out where he can apply for some kind of assistance ASAP as he is behind on his rent, behind on his credit cards and sees no light at the end of the tunnel
Please give me some direction that I can send to him
