Work while Waiting for PR outside of Canada

To whom It may Concern;
I have applied for PR to come and live in Canada with my partner that is Canadian. The application processing times said it will take around 12 months to go through.
The issue I have is that my partners working visa for Australia ends in February, and my PR application might not come through till June. We don't want to live apart from each other. Is there any way I can go to Canada in February with her and work while I wait for the application to come through. So far I have passed all requirements just waiting for final result.

Hey curious as to weather i apply for a open work permit (international experience canda) while I wait for the PR applcation to be completed. My partner and I live in Australia now but she can't stay after Feb???? |
