PRTD and Re-applying for PR Card

Hi
I have just got my PRTD and have entered Canada.
I have to go back to my country due to a business requirement.
CAn I start the PR card renewal process in Canada and go back to my country and wait till I get my renewed PR card.
Ps: I had to apply for PRTD since I had missed my dated for PR card renewal and I was out of the country at the time.
Please suggest the best course of action.
Do you think I can go back after applying fro PR card renewal on a PRTD and wait in my country till I get a renewed PR card or do you think it is mandatory to stay in Canada while the application is under process? |
