Hi everyone, thank you in advance for any help. i greatly appreciate it.

My problem is that i was accepted as a convention refugee not too long ago and my application for permanent residence is on its way, but i've been trying to travel to the U.S. as soon as possible. the wait for the IRB's decision took almost 2 years and now that im a protected person i need to know what the fastest way to travel to the States is. i only need to visit for a few weeks and im not sure if the best way is with the protected persons form and the convention refugee travel documents, or by getting a visa at the U.S. consulate as a citizen of my home country.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You

were you able to get your US visa? If so, did your travel document get stamped or not? aslo, did traveling to US affected your situation as a refugee in canada?
