Hi,

I am a permanent resident of Canada. My PR card was mailed to my address in Canada. I currently live in the United States. Rather than traveling to Canada to pick it up in person, I was looking at two options --

1)Having my PR card couriered to me outside Canada.

2)Having one of my family members carry it with them when they travel to meet me.

Other than the risk of the card getting lost, are there any rules governing the mailing/transportation of a PR card across the border? Can the card be confiscated if it is couriered to me or carried by someone other than myself across the border?

Thank you for your help.
