How to apply, processing time, if you're outside of Canada...
PR card Expiring - Renew? or Become Canadian?

Hello,
So my PR card expires in July (just found out), I was so stressed out thinking I was going to be deported or something but thanks to this awesome website, I found out that my status won't be changing.
My question is...is it worth renewing my PR card? Will I go through the same process (Which was so long and complicated)? Or is it easier to just apply for citizenship?
The other thing I'm worried about is, if I apply now, and my PR card expires before the citizenship process is complete, will that be an issue?
I'm British so I'm guessing I'll end up with a dual citizenship.
Thanks for any feedback! Nafe

Hi
1. You probably should renew it even though you intend to apply for citizenship, since the minimum processing time for citizenship is about 24 for routine applications and 36 months if you get a Residency Questionaire
