Hello,
I am planning to move to Ontario this Sepetmber and am looking for a studio apartment. I would like to stay along with my wife. Can 2 people stay in a studio apartment.

You can find an example of the standards in the this TORONTO MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 629, PROPERTY STANDARDS Document.
Here is an excerpt,
§ 629-25. Occupancy standards.

C. The maximum number of persons living in a habitable room shall not exceed one person for each nine square metres of habitable room floor area.
