Hi I am applying for the citizenship by next month. I am trying to fill the form, where 4 years address required in Canada and foreign. I have been visited, worked and living in different countries during the past four years, so mostly travelled different countries. My question is that should we write all addresses outside the Canada even I stayed only one month at address.
Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Zulfiqar

Hello Zulfiqar,
Thank you for sharing your situation and questions with us.
In terms of including the additional information and documents, according to a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre Representative, generally, you should include what you are asked to include, however, they stated that if you like you can include this additional documentation. Therefore, if you are asked to include the addresses and locations where you stayed, you should include it.
If your concerns are about the RQ, unfortunately, there are no guarantees that it will help you to avoid getting the RQ.
From what we can understand from what we have heard from several Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre Representatives , it sounds like the Residence Questionnaire is done and considered on a case by case basis. It is given to applicants even in cases where people have gone well over and above and met the residency requirement.
You may want to contact the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre directly for some additional information on how best to proceed.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Hi Anna Thanks for reply, my question is not related to RQ, I want to know that during the last 4 years addresses I was out of country for one year. In this one year I visited and worked different countries. Should I provide the addresses in the form even I stayed 1 month or should I provide address for the duration where I have lived more than 6 months. Thanks for help

Hello Zufiqar,
You are welcome.
We thought you were asking because you were trying to avoid the possibility of getting an RQ as well.
Like we stated above, according to a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre Representative, generally, you should include what you are asked to include. Therefore, if you are asked to include the addresses and locations where you stayed, you should include it.
The CIC Application for Canadian citizenship under subsection 5(1) — Adults 18 years of age and older (CIT 0002) guide states,
Question 6E
If you were residing, employed or attending school outside Canada, you must also list all your foreign addresses, including the postal codes.
We suggest that you contact the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre directly for some additional information on how best to proceed.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
