Deal all,

I received my PR visa in end of April and on the visa the expiry date mentioned is 2nd week of Jan 2015.

I just wanted to clarify that I can land anytime before this expiry date, right?

It is already 3 months since receiving my visa and I might not be able to land before mid August. This should not be an issue, right?

Thanks.

Hello Chander,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

According to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre, you can land at any time before it expires. It is important that you do this before the expiry date because if you try to land too close to the expiry date and for some reason your travel plans are delayed, it may cause you to not land on time.

If you do not land before the expiry date, you will have to start the entire immigration application process again.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
