I'm a Canadian citizen, who's been living abroad since childhood and have never worked in Canada.

I now want to sponsor my husband and daughter to live in Canada.

I am currently a stay-at-home mom, and my husband is the sole provider for our household.

We live in a tax-free country.

QUESTION:
What can I send in lieu of the Option C Printout?

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

According to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre, if you do not have an Option C Print Out, then you should include a letter stating and explaining in detail why you do not have one. This should be included in your application.

Since you are also residing abroad, as stated in this Settlement.Org How do I sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or dependent child living outside of Canada? article,

If you are a Canadian citizen not residing in Canada, you may sponsor your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner and/or dependent children who have no dependent children of their own.

If you are a Canadian citizen, you may sponsor a spouse, a common-law partner or conjugal partner, or a dependent child who has no children of his or her own. However, you must demonstrate that you will live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident.

We suggest that you may want to contact the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre directly for some additional information specific to your own situation.

We have had some of our users previously state that they have been able to contact CIC from abroad by dialing 1 613 944 4000. Listen to the options to get to CIC. Once you choose the option for CIC, wait until you hear the welcome to Citizenship and Immigration Canada message and wait to be connected to the CIC Call Centre.

Please note though that some have reported that it did not work for them or that maybe it is no longer working.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
