I am currently separated and was told that I may not have to include my car in the equalization payments for the following reasons:
1. the vehicle was purchased solely by me with no monetary input from the ex and
2. the vehicle was purchased in my name only and not as a joint asset.
Does anyone know where I can find more information on this?

You may also want to contact an Information and Referral Coordinator through the nearest Family Law Information Centre (FLIC). Information and Referral Coordinators are available at certain Family Courts.
