Hi, I am a refugee living in Ottawa, I was omitted to emergency over a week ago and was diagnosed with conjestive heart failure, since then I haven't been feeling well. I was prescribed three different medications to treat my condition. I was directed by the emergency doctor that I will have to do follow up with a doctor plus schedule an appointment with the heart institute for further treatments. My problem is that I don't have a health card and financially it will be difficult.
I tried applying for OHIP but was denied as I am a refugee.
Can anyone direct me as to where and how I can find a solution to my problem.
Thank you so much, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Youssef
