Sponsoring - Other Relatives

Thank you for maintaining this forum. I was a bit surprised to see very little information about sponsoring other relatives in here and in other forums I've visited.
I reckon it's probably the least used method to sponsor family members (Spouse and children are way more common). Anywho, the reason I am posting is that I submitted an application under the Other Relative program (I meet all the requirements), but the CIC website under the "Processing Times" link states that these applications will be reviewed on a "Processed daily on a priority basis" (Whatever that means). It's the only category that does not state a number of days/months/etc it takes this application to pass STEP 1.
Does anybody here have any experience on this? How long did it take? How long until CIC contacts you or assigns you a control number?
Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation with us.
It is true that we do not have any posts sharing this type of sponsorship process. As you stated, it may be since it is not as common and it is difficult to meet the requirements.
We hope that your post encourages others who are going through this process to post their experiences, suggestions and comments.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
