Hi, my PR Card expired 1 week ago, and I have only just sent off my application to renew. Am I still able to work/leave the country etc with an expired card?

I fulfill the requirements to get a new card (landed 5 years ago and have only been out of the country for vacations, and for less than 90 days total).

I have no urgent need to leave the country, I just want to make sure that my status has not been affected due to the card expiring, Thanks.

Hi

If you leave prior to receiving your new PR card, and you hold a NON visitor visa exempt passport, then you will be required to obtain a Travel Document from CIC overseas to return to Canada.
