Is there any risks for new immigrants, who are getting medical treatments but still have no job after landing.
Is there any negative impacts on his PR status in this scenario, such like it may get more difficult to renew his PR card or to become the citizen?

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your question with us.
In order to receive coverage of certain medical treatments through OHIP you must meet certain requirements. If someone is a Permanent Resident, having employment is not one of the requirements.
Accessing health services through OHIP does not impact a person's status as a Permanent Resident of Canada.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
