Hi,

I am married to a Canadian Citizen, my application is already underway..

but I was a overstayer in uk for 2 years nd havnt mentioned that in the application.

But I realised my mistakes and seriously considering about letting cic know about that by writing a letter.

Do u think that would help?

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this situation.

Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to provide a definitive response regarding your application. However, all we can say is that it is important that you always tell the truth when it comes to immigration applications.

We suggest that it is best that you contact the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre directly for some information specific to your situation and application.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Hi

1. The OP has no choice to inform CIC by amending the application. Failure to declare the 2 year overstay in the UK, plus not supplying an Acro certificate, can result in a finding of misrepresentation which results in a 5 year ban from Canada.
