I want to sponsor my partner to Canada. I am a Canadian citizen and he lived here since 1993 but got deported in 2014.

We are not yet married we will be getting married in Oct of this year, we have been together 4 years and have two kids together and he's got a third child here as well.

I don't even know where to begin any advice would help me at this point

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

We can appreciate that the sponsorship process can appear to be very overwhelming and confusing.

You may be able to find some helpful information to start you off in our Settlement.Org How do I sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or dependent child living outside of Canada? article.

It may also be helpful for you to contact the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre directly for some information specific to your situation and application.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing this situation and question with us.

Generally the main applicant is required to land before the rest of the family.

In this case, it is best that the family contact the nearest Visa Office for some assistance and guidance regarding this situation.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
