I am a contractor work for BMO, now 13 months.
When I ask higher rate, my job agency ask me to buy their insurance, then continue contract.

My job is Java programmer.

Nothing deal with danger stuff.
They tell me I have to buy it if not won't pay me.
After I refuse to buy insurance, all the sudden they say my client won't renew my contract.

As I know my current project still need me at least another year. Also when I do my tax return I had big problem to fill up forms. Be cause this agent give me T4 as full time employee but in mean time they took CPP and EI from me.

After talk to CRA, confirm they shouldn't take EI.

What can I do now? Thanks all.

Hi bluecoin,

Thanks for sharing your situation with all. I would suggest that you should keep a detailed records of all information on the person you are working for. As well, you may contact Workers Action Center located at 720 Spadina Avenue, Suite 223 Toronto, Ontario M5S 2T9. They can be reached at 416-531-0778. They speak Tamil, Spanish, English and Chinese and so you should feel comfortable to explain your situation to them. They would provide an appropriate guidance and help free of charge to you.
