I've been working at the same job (Residential Building Superintendent) for the past 7yrs. If I get fired, am I entitled to any payment besides my next regular paycheque? Will I be eligible for EI? If I quit will I be eligible for EI?
I am a Canadian citizian as I was born in Toronto Canada and have not received advise elsewhere.

Hi - you might find the information at http://www.worksmartontario.gov.on.ca/scripts/default.asp?contentID=1-3-6 helpful.

Also, from http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/ei/faq/faq_general.shtml#quit

"Generally, when you voluntarily quit your job without just cause, you will not be paid regular benefits. After quitting your job, you must work the required minimum number of insurable hours to receive regular benefits. However, you may still be paid maternity, parental, sickness, compassionate care and/or PCIC benefits as long as you qualify for these benefits."
