Hi I am a geophysicist.have 12 yrs experience but not canadian education. i m PR in calgary.I know its a regulated job till i prepare myself i m looking for some administrative job or anyother reasonable job for survival plz help .

From what we have heard from many of our users, a lot of times a first job in Ontario or anywhere in Canada may be a survival job, like you have mentioned, "a reasonable job for survival".
There are some "typical" survival jobs. Some jobs that are considered survival jobs are, cashiers, customer service representatives, factory workers, or taxi drivers.
Some may wish to take a survival job because it may assist in building a network related to their profession or trade.
The amount of money that you can earn in these survival jobs can vary. You may want to look at some examples in the Job Bank . This tool was previously referred to as the "Working in Canada" tool.
It is important that you connect with the nearest employment service as soon as you arrive or now if you have already arrived.

Please note that what this statement "survival job" means is that in some cases, the jobs mentioned, are jobs that may be jobs that many may get when first arriving. They may accept these positions in order to make ends meet or pay their bills until they can get a position in their desired field.
