Hi there,
I need help regarding sponsoring my girlfriend in the Philippines. We are in a relationship for about 14 years.. I'm planning to apply her as a conjugal partner, there is no way i can marry her in the Philippines. I have all the documents that will certify that we are in relationship. WE travel in Asia, Both of us assigned as a beneficiary. Remittances, My question, is it right that i can apply her for conjugal category? WE are in the same sex relationship, female to female..
thank you. I hope someone can help me with this matter.

Hello Prb,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
You can find some detailed information regarding what is considered in a conjugal sponsorship in this CIC OP 2 Processing Members of the Family Class Operations Manual.
You can find specific information in the following sections:
5.25. Characteristics of conjugal relationships 5.26. Assessment of conjugal relationships
It is quite a bit of information for us to copy to this thread so we suggest that you go to the manual itself and read those sections.
You can find some additional information including in our Settlement.Org Can I sponsor my same-sex spouse, common-law or conjugal partner? article.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
