Hi,

I recently sold my car privately with the sellers package from MTO. I sold it without safety and the e test was still valid from doing it the previous year due to sticker change. The buyer was aware that the car had been stored for almost a year.

The buyer is having issues with the car now (3 weeks later) and demanding that I pay for the bills. He is stating that I lied and sold the car knowing there was issues with it when I did not. What is my legal obligation? Am I required to pay for these even though I sold it without safety and had no idea there was anything wrong with it.
