Hi all,

My parents are recent immigrants, and they are eligible for the Ontario Trillium Benefit for this tax season. They received the cheque from CRA in August, and in late September, they changed it so that the payment will come in as electronic deposit instead of cheques. However, they have not received their September cheque, but they have received the deposit for October.

I called the OTB phone line, but it's always busy and they don't even have call waiting. I'm wondering if anyone knows what other means of communication do they have for such inquiry?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your question with us.

Unfortunately, the OTB phone line may be the only contact number available.

According to the Ministry of Finance website,

Who do I contact if I haven't received my payment?

The Ontario Trillium Benefit is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). If you qualify, but don't receive your payment by the 24th of the payment month, please contact the CRA at 1 877 627#8209;6645.

The Ministry of Finance website also has an inquiry page.

You will have to select a specific topic area before submitting your inquiry. You may or may not get some assistance through the feedback page.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
