hello there,

I became a Permanent resident on JAN 2010.
more than 5 years ago. I need to renew my PR card because I am travelling,
I am on the application and on question 21 asks:

If you have been outside of Canada for 1095 days or more in the five past years.Or if you became a permanent resident less than five years ago. SInce becoming a permanent resident.INclude all absences....

My question is: DO i have to fill this portion? I became a PR almost 6 years ago. and MY Citizenship application is almost done (waiting for the Ceremony date).

I just need the Card to re enter canada since my ceremony as they said Can happen in the next 6 months.

Any replies will be appreciated.

thanks

Yes - of course you have to complete this section if you want your PR card to be renewed. You must list all of your absences in the last five years. The fact you have applied for citizenship is irrelevant.
