Hi, I have a question regarding mandatory vaccinations for school going kids.
My son was born in December,2009.
We will be landing at Toronto in March,2016.
That is , we will be seeking admission in Elementary school for my son (aged 6 years). What I understand from information on the internet is that the following are the mandatory vaccines Diptheria Tetanus Polio Measles Mumps Rubella Pertussis Meningococcal Varicella
Out of these, Varicella is mandatory for children born in 2010 and later.
The first dose for Meningococcal starts at 12 years.
So based on this information, both Varicella and Meningococcal are not required for my kid for school admissions.
Can someone please confirm if my understanding is correct. Thanks in advance
